Fengdu Ghost City stands on Mingshan Hill. According to local legend, two officials named Yin and Wang studied Taoism here more than 1,700 years ago and became immortals. Their combined surnames were associated with the “Ghost King.” Today, the temples depict figures from Chinese beliefs about the afterlife, with stories of virtue rewarded and wrongdoing punished.

Lesser Three Gorges  

The Lesser Three Gorges comprise Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge, and Dicui (Emerald) Gorge along the Daning River, a tributary of the Yangtze. A small-boat excursion offers close-up views of clear water, sheer cliffs, and steep mountains.

Shennong Stream  

Shennong Stream is a 60-kilometer tributary of the Yangtze River, known for its picturesque scenery. A traditional sampan ride reveals clear water, deep gorges, steep peaks, thick vegetation, wildflowers, and birds.
