Our 10-day trip with China Adventure Club was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Travelling as a family of three, we were initially quite daunted by the prospect of navigating Beijing, Xi'an, and Shanghai, but our guides made the entire experience completely seamless. Walking along the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was a core memory for our teenager, and seeing the Terracotta Army up close in Xi'an was truly spectacular. The contrast of finishing our holiday amidst the futuristic skyline of Shanghai was the perfect end to our itinerary. The accommodation was spot on, and the sheer organisation of the whole programme meant we could simply relax and take in the incredible culture. We felt incredibly well looked after and highly recommend them!

We just got back from an unforgettable 14-day vacation with China Adventure Club, and I cannot sing their praises enough! Taking the kids across the world is no small feat, but our guides felt like extended family by the end of the trip. The absolute highlight for us was Zhangjiajie—hiking through those otherworldly 'Avatar' mountains was mind-blowing and completely worth the journey. Shanghai was an incredible mix of awesome street food and neon lights, while Xi'an offered such a cool contrast with its deep, ancient history. Renting bikes and riding along the top of the Xi'an city wall was a massive hit with the whole family. Every hotel, bullet train ride, and airport transfer was flawlessly handled. If you're on the fence about booking a family trip to China, do it with this team!

Booking our 13-day trip through Sichuan and Tibet back in 2014 felt like a massive undertaking, but China Adventure Club handled every single detail flawlessly—especially securing the notoriously strict Tibet travel permits, which took all the stress off our shoulders. As a couple seeking both deep culture and raw adventure, this itinerary was an absolute dream. In Sichuan, getting up close with the giant pandas in Chengdu and diving into the incredible, fiery local food scene was unforgettable. But crossing into Tibet was truly life-changing. Standing before the Potala Palace in Lhasa and experiencing the deeply spiritual atmosphere of the Himalayas is a memory we have cherished for over a decade now. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, deeply respectful of the local cultures, and took great care to ensure we acclimatized safely to the high altitude. It was the perfect blend of romance, rugged adventure, and seamless logistics.

Traveling for 14 days with a family of five requires serious coordination, and China Adventure Club executed our Guizhou and Yunnan itinerary flawlessly. As Singaporeans, we naturally love our food, and this trip was a massive culinary hit—from the sour fish soups in Guizhou to the famous crossing-the-bridge noodles in Yunnan. The scenery, however, was the real star. The kids were absolutely mesmerised by the sheer scale of the Huangguoshu Waterfall, and spending time in the traditional Miao villages gave us such a wonderful, authentic glimpse into minority cultures. In Yunnan, wandering through the cobblestone streets of Lijiang and taking in the breathtaking views at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain felt surreal. Organizing transport, train tickets, and comfortable rooms for a larger family across these mountainous regions could have been a major headache, but our guides handled the logistics seamlessly. A fantastic, enriching trip that catered perfectly to all ages!

If you are looking to experience China’s jaw-dropping natural beauty, this is the itinerary to book. Our trip to Guilin, Yangshuo, and Jiuzhaigou with China Adventure Club in 2018 was nothing short of magical. Cruising down the Li River among the towering karst mountains in Guilin truly felt like floating through a traditional painting, and spending a quiet afternoon cycling through the countryside in Yangshuo was incredibly romantic. But the absolute highlight for us was Jiuzhaigou. As Canadians, we are certainly spoiled with beautiful nature back home, but the vivid turquoise and emerald lakes and cascading waterfalls of Jiuzhaigou were completely unique and out of this world. Coordinating domestic flights and transfers between these more remote, scenic regions could have been a nightmare, but China Adventure Club handled every detail flawlessly. Our guides were warm, perfectly fluent, and always knew the best lookout spots to avoid the crowds. We couldn't have asked for a better trip!

Taking a group of American teenagers overseas is a huge responsibility, but China Adventure Club made our 2019 student trip completely stress-free and profoundly educational. The absolute highlight of our itinerary was the giant panda volunteer program in Sichuan. The students were absolutely thrilled to roll up their sleeves and get to work—cleaning enclosures, carrying fresh bamboo, and preparing special 'panda cakes' for the bears. Being that close to such magnificent animals and learning firsthand about global conservation efforts was a deeply impactful experience; many of our students even wrote about it for their college admissions essays! Beyond the volunteer work, our guides were incredibly patient and skilled at keeping a large group of energetic high schoolers safe, engaged, and fascinated by the local culture and food. It was an incredibly rewarding program that left a lasting impact on all of us.

Our trip to Luoyang and the Shaolin Temple with China Adventure Club was an absolute highlight of our world travels. Coming from Finland, we were completely captivated by the deep history and vibrant culture we experienced on this itinerary. Witnessing the Shaolin monks perform Kungfu in person was breathtaking—the physical discipline, speed, and energy of the martial arts training are truly something you have to see to believe. Equally impressive was our time in Luoyang. Walking along the Yi River and seeing the thousands of ancient Buddhist statues carved directly into the cliffs at the Longmen Grottoes left us speechless. Our guides were fantastic, providing so much fascinating historical context that we never would have grasped on our own, and all the transport and hotel logistics were handled perfectly. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to step back in time!

As a retired couple, we were looking for something a bit more adventurous than the standard tourist circuit, and China Adventure Club delivered beyond our wildest expectations. Driving through the Guoliang Tunnel—the famous 'Road of Death' carved entirely by hand into the sheer cliffside—was an absolute thrill and a humbling testament to human determination. Despite the road's intimidating nickname, our skilled driver and wonderful guide made us feel completely safe and comfortable the entire time. Exploring Yuntai Mountain was another massive highlight; the towering red rock gorges, lush green valleys, and spectacular waterfalls offered some of the most dramatic scenery we’ve ever witnessed. We were incredibly grateful that the itinerary was perfectly paced for seniors, allowing us to take our time on the walking paths and fully absorb the beauty without ever feeling rushed. A truly unforgettable trip for anyone wanting to see China’s rugged, lesser-known wonders!

What an unbelievable adventure! Travelling as a family of five from Greece, we wanted a holiday that combined history with raw natural beauty, and China Adventure Club organized an itinerary that completely blew our minds. We started with two unforgettable nights camping right on the Great Wall. Having those ancient watchtowers entirely to ourselves under the stars after the day-trippers had left was pure magic, and waking up to the sunrise over the mountains was breathtaking. From there, we transitioned into five incredible days exploring the vast grasslands and striking deserts. The kids absolutely loved riding horses across the open green plains and then trekking up the giant, sweeping sand dunes just days later. Moving five people between such remote and diverse landscapes could have been exhausting, but our guides arranged every tent, yurt, transfer, and meal perfectly. It was the ultimate mix of ancient history and wild nature!
