About this Journey
Beginning at the sea and stretching more than one thousand miles to the unforgiving desert frontiers of China’s west, The Great Wall is a lasting symbol of China’s imperial might. The section at Huanghuacheng is a photographer’s paradise, boasting stunning views of both man made and natural scenery, this part of the wall is also known as “the First Pass” for its strategic importance and as the natural protector of the nearby Ming Emperor Tombs.
